
22-year-old suffers injuries on Fraser Island
A YOUNG man has had his holidays cut short after getting injured on Fraser Island.
The 22-year-old Gold Coast resident sustained what is suspected to be a dislocated shoulder from partaking in a water activity with his friends.
Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifted the man from Fraser Island at 1:24pm today.
The patient was initially treated by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics at Happy Valley, and then transported by road to Eurong ranger station where he was met by RACQ LifeFlight Rescue.
The patient was flown from Eurong to Hervey Bay Hospital for further treatment.
