90 caught speeding in just six hours

A SPEED camera caught about 90 drivers breaking the limit in just six hours on Sunday.

Maryborough Road Policing Unit officer in charge Sergeant Tony McCarthy said the camera was placed on Saltwater Creek Rd for about six hours.

"It's reality that we are still getting an excessive number of speeders," he said.

Sgt McCarthy said police would continue to patrol for people breaking the road rules in an effort to reduce the number of crashes across the Fraser Coast.
