Abbott to promote family values in the US this week
FORMER prime minister Tony Abbott will espouse the benefits of traditional family life to a conservative Christian lobby group in the US this week.
The Alliance Defending Freedom is strongly opposed to abortion and says on its website there is "more work to be done" to close facilities across the US.
Mr Abbott, who joined the lucrative US lecture circuit late last year, confirmed on Sunday that he would stand again for the seat of Warringah at this year's election.
