Australia finishes fourth in women's water polo world cup
THE Australian women's team finished fourth at the world championships in Russia after losing the bronze medal play-off 12-10 to Italy in a penalty shoot-out.
The United States beat Netherlands 5-4 in the gold medal game. Serbia won the final of the men's competition, the Aussie Sharks finishing eighth.
