NSW Greens MP John Kaye dies of cancer
NEW South Wales Upper House MP John Kaye has died after a battle with cancer.
Dr Kaye's colleagues remembered him yesterday as a man of "enormous principle, energy and commitment".
The 60-year-old was diagnosed with aggressive cancer in February.
Fellow Greens MP David Shoebridge said Dr Kaye "died peacefully in his home surrounded by friends and family".
Dr Kaye was elected to the Upper House in 2007.
A private ceremony will be held this week at Waverley Cemetery.
A public celebration of Dr Kaye's life is also expected to be held.
