Rossi in striking distance of his 10th MotoGP world title
ITALIAN Valentino Rossi moved closer to his 10th MotoGP world title with victory in the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
The Yamaha rider is now 12 points ahead of Spain's Jorge Lorenzo with six races left.
Defending champ Marc Marquez crashed with eight laps to go.
