Alleged thief raids Quintin St business after sabotaging CCTV

A thief have allegedly broken into and raided a building overnight, then escaped with a number of items.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the incident at a Quintin Street business was reported to police at 8am this morning, January 3.

"Looks like a male suspect has lifted the roller door up, entered beneath it," the spokeswoman said.

"They've disconnected the CCTV and stolen a device and left the scene entry point."

The unknown offender also allegedly stole other property including car keys and battery tools after rummaging through the premises between 9.30am on January 2 and 7am on January 3.

Police attended the scene after the report but are still at a loss as to where the suspect is and why the property was taken.

The spokeswoman said police are conducting inquiries around nearby businesses to see if they have any CCTV footage.

Investigations are continuing.
