ARCHERY: Some of the region's most promising archers and bowmen polished their bows and arrows for a day of sharpshooting under the hot southwestern heat on Sunday.

The day's events featured a three-arrow on the 3D targets with a top score of 400.

Barry Street top-scored for the day with his compound bow with sights, shooting an impressive 368.

In second place was Jess Head with 334, while Rodney Scheimer with his bare-bow rounded out the podium with a score of 326.

Field archery starts at 8am on Sundays and archers are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before the action begins.
