Biker accused of 'taunting' police charged

A CHEEKY trail bike rider who allegedly spent months taunting police, including pulling 'stunts' outside the Springfield police station, will face court in January.

The brazen rider had allegedly been repeatedly spotted driving dangerously along Augusta Parkway and around the Redbank Plains area.

After putting the call out to the community for help, the police raided a property in Redbank Plains and charged a 21-year-old man with multiple charges including driving unlicensed, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving with undue care and consideration to other road users.

The Yahama off road motorbike has been impounded and an application will be made to forfeit the motorbike to the crown.

The man is due to face Ipswich Magistrates Court on January 10.
