SHE'S she turned 18 but Bindi Irwin has already had more incredible experiences and opportunities than most people will have in a lifetime.

At a massive celebration at Australia Zoo on Sunday morning, Bindi was well aware of how "blessed" she has been.

"I feel like I've lived 10 lives in one lifetime so far," she said.

"And there's been lots of amazing times and some challenging times but it's been great to be able to share our journey with people all over the world.

"I can't wait to see what happens next."

Bindi and her family, along with the Wildlife Warriors, will soon head off on their annual crocodile research trip and Bindi said conservation work would continue to dominate her focus into the future.

"As a family with our work in Wildlife Warriors, our mum and dad (Terri and Steve Irwin) got started back in 2002 and I think I've been really blessed to be a part of that, to make sure everythign dad accomplished carries on into the future," she said.

"So hopefully I'll be able to continue to make him proud."

Another wildlife loving woman, Stacey Thomson, said Bindi was a great Wildlife Warrior.

As well as being a Totally Wild presenter Ranger Stacy co-hosted Croc Week Live with Steve Irwin in 2003.

"I've know her since she was a tiny little girl, I've seen her grow up and inspire so many people, not just here in Australia but around the world," she said.

"And I just think she's a fantastic all round package; great wildlife warrior."

There was time for some tender moments between Bindi and her mother, Terri, and boyfriend Chandler Powell, who it's understood will join the family on their next crocodile research trip, and the giving of gifts and plenty of time with the fans.

When the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter team presented Bindi with a chopper flight above the Coast she revealed she was more afraid of flying than catching crocodiles.

"As soon as we're done catching crocodiles I'd love to come back and join you guys," she said.

The party's getting started at Australia Zoo for Bindi's 18th!
