Bindi vows to overcome injury on Dancing With The Stars

BINDI Irwin won't let a sore foot stand in her way of ballroom glory.

The Wildlife Warrior smiled through a painful injury in her impressive quickstep with professional dance partner Derek Hough today.

For the third week of the US reality show the celebrities performed a dance for TV Icons Week, which called for routines inspired by their favourite shows growing up.

Seventeen-year-old Bindi's choice in TV show seemed like a surprising one considering The Jeffersons finished on air 13 years before she was born.

It was a last-minute substitution after her Jacksons routine wasn't approved in time for the live show.

She scored 32 out of 40 for the routine performed to the show's theme song, although the judges did note she didn't seem to be quite her usual, bubbly self.

"It's a little painful tonight. But it will be fine," Irwin said.

"By next week, it will all be under control and I'll be back with the same passion I had today."

It wasn't enough to beat Alexa PenaVega, though, who scored 36 points for her Breaking Bad-inspired routine.

The Real Housewives star Kim Kolciak was forced to pull out of the show after being hospitalised for a mini-stroke last week.

Today's episode also featured an appearance by season 19 winner Alfonso Ribeiro as a guest judge and a performance by The Muppets.
