BREAKING: Police say man not armed, still on the run

LATEST: POLICE are still on the hunt for a man they previously believed to be armed.

QPS media said a stolen car was found in West Ipswich just before 12.30pm today which led to a police search of the area.

Initial reports suggested the man was armed, however police no longer believe he is carrying a weapon.

The man hunt continues.

EARLIER: POLICE are on the hunt for a man they believe is armed in West Ipswich.

The man, reported to be wearing a Queensland jersey, is on the run.

A number of police crews were searching the area on Brisbane St at West Ipswich at about 12.30pm today.

Police are yet to reveal further details.
