Bruce Hwy chaos as car bursts into flames in peak hour

A burning car has completely stopped traffic in the northbound lanes of the Bruce Hwy on the Sunshine Coast during the midst of Friday hour peak hour, causing chaos on the arterial.

The incident is just south of the Sunshine Mwy exit.

Fire crews have just arrived on scene.

It is unclear whether or not anyone was injured.

Drivers are reporting traffic is queued up to 8km from the fire.
