Meth, viagra and fugitives caught in Bruce Hwy blitz

BREAKING: A police operation targeting drivers on the Bruce Hwy has uncovered drugs and two people wanted on arrest warrants.

300 vehicles travelling north on the Bruce Hwy were stopped at Glasshouse Mountains on Wednesday night, leading to 23 charges for 15 people.

Sunshine Coast Tactical Crime Squad officer in charge, Senior Sergeant Troy Pakullus, said police were targeting drug and property offenders, but that wasn't all they found.

"The operation resulted in the location and seizure of substantial quantities of drugs worth approximately $2600," he said.

"It also led to the arrest of wanted persons."

Quantities of methylamphetamine, GHB, viagra and cannabis were seized, seven drivers tested positive for drug driving and two were found to be driving while drunk.
