Bulldogs won’t underestimate Tigers

EVERYTHING points to a Bulldogs win over the Tigers at ANZ Stadium tomorrow night.

It was Canterbury that thrashed the Tigers 36-4 in round 10, and the western Sydney club will be without key attacking weapons Robbie Farah, James Tedesco and Aaron Woods – all on New South Wales duty.

But the Tigers have only lost twice since that 32-point drubbing back in May.

Bulldogs five-eighth Josh Reynolds certainly isn’t underestimating his 12th-placed opponents.

“If we worry about who’s playing for the Tigers or who’s not that’ll probably be our undoing,” Reynolds said, with his team also minus key forwards Josh Jackson and David Klemmer on Blues duty.

“We’ve got to turn up and pretend it’s the Sharks or one of the teams that are leading the comp.”

Bulldogs halfback Moses Mbye said Tigers halves Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses would be hard to contain, particularly with a weight off both their shoulders after re-committing to the club last month.

“I have no doubt they would have been thinking about it and you can tell – both players have been playing good football,” Mbye said.

“I’m sure they’re rapt to get it off their minds.”

After an inconsistent start to the year, the Bulldogs have strung together some impressive performances in recent weeks to sit in fourth spot.

In the past month, Des Hasler’s men have won their past three matches in a row, with wins over Brisbane, the Dragons and the Roosters, and a nail-biting 20-18 defeat to the Sharks.
