Bullet charged for headbutting against 36ers

BASKETBALL: Brisbane Bullets star Daniel Kickert may be free to take part in the return bout against the Adelaide 36ers on Thursday night.

Kickert was charged with headbutting 36ers opponent Anthony Drmic in the second quarter of Brisbane's 105-87 win in Adelaide on Saturday.

The NBL game review panel charged Kickert for making "intentional, low impact and high contact”, resulting in a one-match ban that can be reduced to a $1000 fine if he accepts an early guilty plea.

Kickert and the Bullets have until 11am on Wednesday to respond.

Emotions will no doubt be high when the Bullets host the 36ers at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
