Bureau watches low that could develop into cyclone off coast
THE Bureau of Meteorology is reportedly watching a tropical low that could possibly develop into a category one cyclone that could affect the Queensland Coast.
Oz Cyclone Chasers posted a video update on Tuesday night on their Facebook page, discussing the tropical low that "could potentially develop into a cyclone across the far NE Coral Sea and track to the SW towards the Queensland coast".
"We look at a number of different scenarios for this potential future system," Oz Cyclone Chasers report, adding they will update the public again on Thursday evening.
In all three computer models Oz Cyclone Chasers look at, the system would most likely cross the Queensland coast as either a trough, a tropical low or a category one cyclone most likely between Cairns and Mackay.
The system most likely would make landfall either this Saturday or Sunday.
