Campbell Newman vows to continue attacks on Turnbull
FORMER Queensland premier Campbell Newman has dismissed suggestions he could be kicked out of the LNP over his criticism of Malcolm Turnbull, insisting his views are shared by many in the party.
Mr Newman has repeatedly called for the Prime Minister to resign for "selling out" and on Thursday penned a column for The Australian and then backed that up on radio.
He also labelled Federal Minister Christopher Pyne a "Tory toff".
Mr Newman said he would not be "letting up" on the issue, insisting Mr Turnbull had blown the party's support base.
"The feedback that I have received from rank and file and senior members of the party, and former members of the party who have gone to One Nation, is 'thank God someone is telling the truth about this'," Mr Newman said.
