Child, elderly man hurt in serious crash, road closed
UPDATE 5PM: A CHILD and a man have been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on Peachester Rd, Peachester.
The crash occurred about 3.30pm with traffic south of the incident diverted.
Initial reports suggested three vehicles were involved however a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the crash involved only two.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency spokeswoman said when crews arrived on scene one car was in a fence and another was in a drain.
By 4.30pm the cars had been moved from the scene.
The man, in his 60s and the girl were both in stable conditions suffering chest and back pain and nausea.
UPDATE 4.15PM: A child and an elderly man have been injured in a multi-vehicle crash at Peachester.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said three cars were involved in the crash on Peachester Rd - one vehicle is in a drain and a second has gone through a fence.
Queensland Ambulance said a little girl was suffering from nausea and a man in his 60s had chest and back pain.
She said it was likely they would be taken to hospital.
A Queensland Police spokesman said traffic would need to be diverted south of the crash.
EARLIER 3.45PM: PARAMEDICS have just arrived at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash at Peachester.
Police and fireys were also called to the reported two-vehicle collision on Peachester Rd.
Calls came in about 3.30pm.
Queensland Ambulance could not confirm how many people were involved but initial reports suggest there would be multiple patients.
A Queensland Police spokesman said the road was closed halfway "up the range" towards Maleny.
