Thieves steal $7500 worth of razor blades

POLICE are appealing for the public to help identify two men who have stolen $7500 worth of razor blades between Caboolture and Fraser Coast.

The multiple shop stealing offences have taken place in stores between the Fraser Coast and Caboolture since August 3.

In an unusual crime, the two males have stolen large quantities of Gillette brand razor blades and cartridges from supermarkets.

A police spokesman said the offenders would enter a store, select a carry basket and then proceed to the store's health and beauty aisle.

One offender will remove a large quantity of razor blades, sometimes causing damage to the shelving, while the other offender will act as a shield or lookout.

The two men then move to another aisle where they transfer the razor blades to their own satchel bag or back pack.

Afterwards they make their way towards the exit, leaving behind the store's carry basket.

If you know the identity of the two men pictured, please call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or your local police station.
