CRIME WRAP: juvenile driving defective car at McDonald’s
MID range drink driving
A DRINK driving male was detected by police when they intercepted his car on Lovell St last Friday night. At midnight on April 3, police breath tested the man who returned a mid-range blood and alcohol reading. He was given a 24 hour driving suspension and a notice to appear in the Roma Magistrates Court at a later date.
HITCHHIKER found with drugs
A HITCHHIKER walking on the Carnarvon Hwy on Monday evening had cannabis on his person. At 6.25pm, police intercepted the male and charged him with possession of drugs and issued him with a notice to appear in court at a later date.
FEMALE drug driving
POLICE intercepted a female on McDowall St on Tuesday afternoon. At 2.25pm, police pulled over the female who tested positive to drug driving. She was given a 24 hour license suspension and issued with a notice to appear in court at a later date.
JUVENILE driving defective car
A JUVENILE driving in the early hours of Wednesday morning has had his car seized by police. At 3.20am on April 8, police intercepted the juvenile driving through McDonald's on Bowen St and found the juvenile was driving unlicensed in an unregistered, uninsured and defective vehicle with no registration plates attached. He was given a notice to appear in the Roma Children's Court at a later date and the vehicle was seized.
ROMA police are warning residents that while they are not doing RBT in certain locations, that if you come under the attention of police, you will be tested for drink and drug driving.
