CRIME WRAP: Man arrested, found with uncapped syringe

A 38-year-old Roma man will front court after police intercepted him allegedly driving drunk along Charles St.

About 8.15pm on Friday, December 18 officers allegedly intercepted the local for the purpose of a random breath test and licence check.

Due to his breath analysis test being over the general alcohol limit he was transported to the police station where he produced an analysis of 0.081 per cent.

He will front the Roma Magistrates Court on January 19, 2021.

Ballaroo man allegedly busted drink driving

Roma police allegedly busted a Ballaroo man drink driving in the early hours of Monday morning.

Officers allege about 1.25am on Monday, December 21 a 27-year-old man was intercepted at Bassett Court.

A roadside breath test was conducted and as a result he was transported back to the police station where he provided a 0.054 per cent result.

He will front the Roma Magistrates Court on January 19, 2021.

Man caught drink driving on disqualified licence

A 26-year-old man will front court next year for drink driving while on a disqualified licence.

Roma police allege at midnight on Saturday, December 19 officers intercepted the Mareeba man on Bowen St.

A roadside breath test proved the man was driving over the middle range limit.

He was transported to the station where he provided a 0.125 per cent reading.

Further investigation found the man was disqualified from driving by a court order.

He was issued a notice to appear in the Roma Magistrates Court on January 19, 2021 for driving while on a disqualified licence and for driving over the middle range limit.

Man found with uncapped syringe

A 34-year-old was handed a notice to appear in court after he was arrested for unrelated matters before police located an uncapped syringe on his person.

Roma police allege at 7.20pm on Sunday, December 20 police arrested the Roma man on South St for several offences and prior to transport to the watch house, officers located an uncapped syringe on him.

He will front the Roma Magistrates Court on January 19, 2021.
