CRIME WRAP: Schoolboy cautioned after assaulting classmate
Schoolboy assaults fellow student
A 12-YEAR-OLD boy who assaulted his teenage classmate at Charleville State High School has gotten off with a caution.
On Monday, November 11, police were called to a disturbance at the school, in which a 13-year-old had been injured by another classmate.
After the investigation concluded, the 12-year-old boy was cautioned for assault occasioning bodily harm.
Drugs on the move with tourist
A VISITOR from North Queensland was caught with dangerous drugs after a random breath test and vehicle search in Charleville.
Police stopped the 30-year-old Port Douglas man in Edward St on November 12, and located a quantity of drugs and a drug utensil.
He was issued with a notice to appear in the Charleville magistrates Court on January 20, 2020, charged with possession of utensils that had been used in connection with a dangerous drug, and possession of a dangerous drug.
Interstate and unlicensed
A VICTORIAN man who was caught driving unlicensed in Charleville has been issued with a notice to appear.
He was nabbed after being stopped for a random breath test in Alfred St, and will need to appear in the Charleville Magistrates Court on December 9.
Traffic Enforcement Operation
CHARLEVILLE police are continuing with ongoing traffic enforcement operations.
Police will be performing traffic enforcement using radar, patrols, speed camera and random breath and drug drive testing as part of an ongoing commitment to reducing road trauma.
