Cunnamulla homes raided in massive drug seizures

Cunnamulla detectives raided seven homes, resulting in five offenders being charged with a total of 19 offences.

Between Monday, January 11 and January 14, detectives from Cunnamulla Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and officers from general duties executed a number of search warrants targeting and disrupting the use of drugs within the community.

During the investigation, officers allegedly located and seized a quantity of dangerous drugs and drug utensils.

Acting Senior Sergeant David Harper said local police are dedicated to preventing drug related crime in our community and will continue to target drug offenders.

“We rely on community members to continue to assist us and strongly encourage members of

the community to report any information relating to crime in our community,” Acting Senior

Sergeant Harper said.

A 25-year-old local man will front the Cunnamulla Magistrates Court on March 22, charged with a number of offences including possession of dangerous drugs and possession of utensils.

Similarly, a 23-year-old local woman will front the Cunnamulla Magistrates Court on February 15, charged with a number of offences including possession of a dangerous drug.

A 32-year-old local man will front the Cunnamulla Magistrates Court the same day charged with a number of offences including possession of a dangerous drug and possession of utensils.

A 58-year-old Mount Morgan man was charged with possession of a dangerous drug and is required to undergo a drug diversionary program.

A 27-year-old Cunnamulla man was charged with possession of utensils and fail to dispose of

needle.

He is scheduled to appear in the Cunnamulla Magistrates Court on February 15.
