Cunningham Highway open to traffic after fatal crash

UPDATE: The Cunningham Hwy is now re-opened.

 

9AM: The Cunningham Highway is now expected to reopen by 10.30am following a fatal traffic crah at Mutdapilly on Tuesday morning.

 

8AM: A man has died in a serious two vehicle traffic crash that occurred on the Cunningham Highway at Mutdapilly this morning.

Police were called to the scene at around 1am, after a milk tanker and a utility collided.

The driver of the utility, a man believed to be in his 20s, died at the scene.

The Cunningham Highway is currently closed in both directions between Stephens Road and Champions Way.

The Highway is expected to reopen in an hour.

Motorists are advised to take alternative routes.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

There is no further information available at this time.

6AM: POLICE are currently at the scene of a serious traffic crash that occurred on the Cunningham Highway at Mutdapilly this morning.

Police were called to the scene at around 1am, after a milk tanker and a utility collided.

The Cunningham Highway is currently closed in both directions between Stephens Road and Champions Way. Motorists are advised to take alternative routes.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
