Details of shocking assault on sleeping child revealed
BREAKING: Police are appealing for help to track down down a man alleged to have indecently assaulted a child while sleeping at a Maroochydore caravan park.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Dan Collins said the incident occurred about 3.40am on Sunday.
The child, who was holidaying with her family, was asleep in a caravan's annexe when the incident occurred.
The child's parents were only metres away, sound asleep in the caravan.

Police have been conducting further enquiries and were investigating CCTV footage to help track down the suspect.
Act Sen Sgt Collins said it was a "concerning incident" as the child was asleep.
"The parents are obviously quite upset and certainly conducted the police immediately," he said.
The crime itself was on "the minor level, but was certainly concerning".
