Distrubance allegedly led to man being hit by car

EMERGENCY services have failed to resuscitate a man reportedly struck by a vehicle on the Gold Coast.

Detectives and the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the man's death.

Police were called to Rio Vista Boulevard around 1:25am following reports a man had been hit by a car.

Police say a number of people arrived at a Rio Vista Boulevard residence just prior to the incident.

Police believe a disturbance occurred and the unknown people have left in a vehicle and allegedly hit a man from the residence.

The vehicle did not stop.

A crime scene has been declared on Rio Vista Boulevard between Aroona Avenue and Rudd Street South.
