Divergent Series: Allegiant released on 2D only
THE third instalment of the Divergent franchise hits cinemas next week.
After the earth-shattering revelations of Insurgent (2015), Tris must escape with Four and go beyond the wall enclosing Chicago.
For the first time ever, they will leave the only city and family they have ever known.
Once outside, old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless with the revelation of shocking new truths.
Tris and Four must quickly decide who they can trust as a ruthless battle ignites beyond the walls of Chicago, which threatens all of humanity.
In order to survive, Tris will be forced to make impossible choices about courage, sacrifice and love.
Allegiant, the book by Veronica Roth, will be split into two parts, making it the fourth movie franchise to do so, along with Harry Potter, The Twilight Saga and The Hunger Games.
Unlike The Divergent Series: Insurgent, this instalment will not be released in 3D.
According to sources from the film's production, Kate Winslet was so keen to return in any capacity as either a 'flashback or simulation' that she got her agents to get in contact with producers to specify her availability.
However it was the producers who turned down the opportunity for the sake of time and storyline constraints.
