Driver caught more than 40kmh over speed limit
A DRIVER has been hit with a $1099 fine after being caught travelling at an alleged speed to 105kmh in a 60kmh zone.
The driver has also lost eight demerit points, is facing a six month licence suspension, and the vehicle will be immobilised for a period of seven days.
The offence took place during Tiaro police patrols in Glenwood.
Tiaro police have received a number of complaints regarding vehicles driving at excessive speed and in a dangerous manner throughout the Glenwood area.
Residents are reminded this area is a 60kmh zone with many residents walking young children to and from school along the roads.
