Driver charged with drug possession after car crash

On the first day of 2021, Charleville police attended an address on Cypress St in relation to a disturbance between two males.

About 6.20am on Friday, January 1, officers had to attend the address and as a result a 48-year-old male was issued an infringement notice for public nuisance.

 

Traffic crash

A driver was charged with careless driving and possessing dangerous drugs after a single vehicle traffic crash on the Diamantina Developmental Rd.

On Thursday, January 7 a single vehicle traffic crash with injury occurred on the Diamantina Developmental Rd between Charleville and Cooladdi.

As a result, the driver was taken to hospital for observation and issued with an infringement notice for careless driving.

The driver was also charged with possessing dangerous drugs and issued with a notice to appear in the Charleville Magistrates Court at a later date.
