Eight on drugs charges after Eukey private music festival

EIGHT people will face Stanthorpe Magistrates Court on October 28 after being charged for drug-related offences at a music festival in the Stanthorpe area at the weekend.

Stanthorpe police said most of the charges related to Friday night.

"The festival was on a private property at Eukey," police said.

Two of the people charged will face serious drug charges and have been released on bail.

The other six have been given notices to appear on minor drug charges.

None of the eight live on the Darling Downs.

Two extra police from Toowoomba travelled to Stanthorpe to assist during the festival.

It is believed between 150 and 200 people were at the festival which started on Friday evening and was scheduled to finish late last night.
