Emergency situation at Upper Coomera has been revoked

UPDATE: Police have revoked an Emergency Situation which was declared under the Public Safety Preservation Act at Upper Coomera this afternoon.

Police were called to a disturbance on Elk Court around 12.25pm where an emergency situation was declared at 2.50pm.

The emergency situation was revoked at 7.05pm.

A man is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

Police investigations are continuing.

EARLIER: GOLD Coast police, currently speaking to a man at an Upper Coomera home, have declared an emergent situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act.

The emergency declaration encompasses Elk Court at the intersections of Hargraves Street, Reserve Street, Carribu Crescent and the nearby college carpark.

Preliminary information indicates police were called to an Elk Court home around 12.20 this afternoon following reports of a disturbance.

The man is alone inside the home and police investigations are continuing.
