Ergon Energy takes on repairs

AS THE saying goes, many hands make light work. And at the weekend, Ergon Energy did exactly that.

A team of 31 strong men and women tackled a huge maintenance job on Saturday in Augathella.

Ergon Energy crews from Quilpie, Cunnamulla, Charleville, Roma, Blackall and Springsure depots, as well as the Murweh Shire Council and GHM Energy came together to work on the job.

A total of two workers from Cunnamulla, seven from Charleville and two from Quilpie helped make up the 31 people in the team.

The maintenance job included the replacement of five poles, three cross-arms and the conductor for a significant chunk of the network.

In a post by Ergon Energy on Facebook, a big thanks was issued to the local community for their understanding while the crews worked to resolve the issues and for their patience.
