Fatal crash at Sarina after car leaves Bruce Highway

A PASSENGER has died in a single-vehicle crash eight kilometres south of Sarina yesterday.

Police say around 12.10pm a car travelling along the Bruce Highway left the road, went down an embankment and hit a tree near Muller Road.

The elderly female driver and a passenger were taken to Mackay Base Hospital in a serious condiition.

The passenger passed away in hospital overnight. 

Sarina Police and the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
