Four men face Ipswich court over alleged home invasion

FOUR men from the Toowoomba area will face court in Ipswich this morning, following an alleged home invasion at Brookwater.

A witness called Triple-0 just after 4am on Monday, telling police that up to nine people were involved in a fight at a residence on Brookwater Dve.

A 27-year-old man and an 18-year-old man suffered minor injuries.

Four men fled the scene in a white Toyota Camry, which evaded police on Augusta Parkway, before heading towards Redbank Plains.

The vehicle was later found crashed in a ditch near Mary St, Blackstone.

Police apprehended four men about 5.30am.

They were taken to the watchhouse and later charged.

An 18-year-old Toowoomba man, a 19-year-old Middle Ridge man, a 21-year-old Middle Ridge man, and a 27-year-old Drayton man are all scheduled to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court this morning.  

Each of them have been charged with four counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count each of enter dwelling with intent, stealing and willful damage.
