FRESH START: Businessman opens new car detailing in Roma

With over 20 years experience in the car detailing industry, Tim Pochyly recently decided to venture off on his own and open a new business for Roma residents.

Superior Auto Salon located on Arthur St offers drivers – a full detail, shampooing, steam cleaning, buffing, polishing, interior clean, cut and polish, paint correction – you name it, they do it.

“We have a lot of people around town who live on properties and their cars are collecting a lot of mud and dust, so I see the business as a necessity in town,” Mr Pochyly said.

The owner has worked for Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Mitsubishi, Kia, rented a car wash in Coffs Harbour and worked at Armstrong Ford in Roma for seven years before it closed down.

“This business is a fresh start for my family – new scenery,” Mr Pochyly said.

“My wife, Jevy, came over from the Philippines and we waited over two years for her visa.

“So I needed to build something for my family and this is what I’ve done and I hope to see it grow in Roma.”

Jevy helps on the front counter and their four-year-old son Vaughn carries dad’s flag in and out of the shop each day.

Each car is priced accordingly.

The store is located at 63 Arthur St, Roma.

Open 8.30am-4pm and Saturdays when required.
