Six parked cars damaged after alleged drug driver crash

A 51-YEAR-OLD Buddina man has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs after a crash involving at least six cars in Mooloolaba.

Police were called to Smith St about 9.30am to reports of a car that had crashed into parked vehicles.

The man was arrested and charged with drug driving as well as driving without due care and attention, unlicensed driving, driving an unregistered vehicle and failing to comply with crash responsibilities.

Police had to leave notes on some of the parked vehicles as their owners were not present at the time of the crash.

The man is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on July 2.
