High-speed driver evades police with unrestrained kids
HIGHWAY patrol officers from Charleville and surrounds are on the lookout for a dangerous driver, who was clocked speeding along the Mitchell Highway at 140kmh and is believed to have unrestrained children in her company.
The Western Times understands a police car pulled over a female driver about 1.50pm about 70km south of Charleville for travelling 30km over the 110kmh zone speed limit.
It is believed she had unrestrained children in the back of the vehicle.
However, the driver escaped at high speed, and police lost the station wagon, which was fitted with Victorian registration plates.
Police hold concerns for the driver, and multiple children believed to be travelling with her.
