Hiker winched off Mt Walsh summit

A HIKER in his 30s has been winched off the summit of Mt Walsh after he fell and injured both his legs.
Mt Walsh is located in the Mt Walsh National Park in Biggenden, just over an hour drive from Bundaberg.
The Sunshine Coast CareFlight Rescue crew flew to the scene around midday yesterday and winched a medical team down to the patient.

The patient was winched into the aircraft on a stretcher and flown to Bundaberg Base Hospital.
He travelled in a stable condition.
