House fire in Cunnamulla

Emergency services were called to the scene of a house fire on Jane Street, Cunnamulla at 11.25pm last night.

According to police media, the blaze began underneath the house, where a mattress had been set on fire, before engulfing the structure.

Two fire crews attended the blaze, with the fire being extinguished soon after arrival and the necessary checks performed.

No residents of the building required assessment or treatment, with paramedics on the scene tending to a number of QFES officers for heat related effects.

No one required further treatment or transport to hospital and police are still investigating the incident.

The fire caused structural damage to the property and QFES were in attendance at the property this morning to extinguish flare ups.
