Gladstone police found ice in clip-seal bags secreted in the car he drove at Clinton.

Back in jail Woodrow, 31, a dad of five, went before Gladstone District Court to plead guilty to supplying methylamphetamine and to drug possession.

Sarah Dennis for the Crown said probation reports described Woodrow's attitude to rehabilitation as "flippant", with disregard to opportunities afforded him by the previous sentencing judge.

And despite his own argument the earlier offences were "a wake-up call" to him in his drug-abuse struggles.

Watched by his mother and two children Woodrow had a taped head injury, his barrister, Tom Polley, saying he was attacked twice in Capricornia prison and had surgery for an eye-socket injury and a steel plate inserted.

"His family say he is a brilliant father when not under the the grasp of drugs. He wants to do the right thing by his kids..."

"Prison is a shocking place," said Judge Craig Chowdhury. "He was given every opportunity. Unfortunately you didn't take it seriously. "It must be dreadful for children to have their father locked up in jail.

"You just have to man-up and do counselling. You are an example sir, how methylamphetamine is a scourge of our society."

His suspended sentence was activated and he was sentenced to 12 months jail with parole release on September 20.
