UPDATE: CAMERA footage will be the key to arresting an armed robber after a brazen attack in Warwick last night.

Police are reviewing footage from inside the taxi, after a man produced a knife and demanded cash shortly after 7.30pm.

The offender entered the taxi at the Grafton St rank and asked to be taken to the skate bowl at Queens Park.

Upon arrival the offender produced a knife and demanded cash.

The taxi driver was able to take the knife off the offender but received a cut to his hand in the process.

The offender escaped on foot and the taxi driver immediately drove to Warwick Police station to report the crime.

Police investigations are continuing this morning.

EARLIER: POLICE are on the hunt for a teenager who pulled a knife on a Warwick taxi driver this evening and demanded cash.

The young man was picked up by the driver outside Rose City Shoppingworld at 7.30pm and asked to be taken to Park Rd.

On arrival, the teenager produced the knife and asked the driver to hand over cash.

A struggle followed and the driver received a cut to his hand.

The teenager is described as being of Aboriginal appearance and about 160cm tall with dark hair and brown eyes.

He was wearing a baseball cap that was yellow at the front, a dark coloured hoodied, a dark tracksuit and black shoes.
