Bishop hands out soft diplomacy to Singapore with koalas
FOREIGN Minister Julie Bishop will give Singapore four koalas this week to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations during a trip to Asia.
Ms Bishop left for a three-day trip to Singapore, South Korea and Japan on Wednesday to talk business, counter-terrorism and trade.
In South Korea, Ms Bishop will join high-level talks on efforts to fight terrorism, as well as cyber-security and United Nations development goals.
She will also meet Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to help capitalise on the recent trade agreement.
