Body identified after police test bones in noose
POLICE have confirmed human remains found on a property in the Lockyer Valley belong to Darrell Simon, ABC reports.
They found the remains, which were partially concealed by a lantana thicket on the Laidley West property, in May.
Police confirmed at the time they would investigate if there was any link to the missing person case of Plainland man Darrell Simon, 44.
Forensic testing has now confirmed the link.

Mr Simon was reported missing and was last seen the morning of November 16, 2014, riding his bike along Mountain View Dr.
SES and police searched the property for two days in December, 2014, and failed to find any trace of the body.
Mr Simon's father Laurie said although police were yet to confirm the cause of death, he has been told there was a noose in the tree.
Some of Darrell's bones were found in the noose, according to ABC reports.
Laurie had previously stated the bones were likely those of his son.
