Logan man injures Roma police woman’s arm during pub fight
A Roma police officer has sustained an arm injury after a man lashed out at her at a pub.
Sergeant Chris Keenan said police were called to the licenced premises on McDowall Street after 11.40pm on March 23, due to violent and aggressive behaviour from a 36-year-old Burnett Heads man.
“Whilst police were talking to him, and a 21-year-old male from Underwood have become violent and aggressive towards police, resulting in one officer being injured,” Sergeant Keenan said.
“Both males were subsequently arrested and transported to the Roma watch-house.”
They were later released and charged with several offences including serious assault of police, public nuisance, obstructing police, and a number of liquor offences.
They men are due to appear in Roma Magistrates Court on April 20.
