Lowood man beaten with baseball bat during home invasion
DETECTIVES have charged two men in relation to an alleged break and enter and serious assault in Lowood last night.
It will be alleged shortly after 7pm two men forced entry to a home on Lewis Court in Lowood, allegedly assaulting a 53-year-old male occupant of the house with a baseball bat, before leaving the scene.
The man was subsequently transported to Ipswich General Hospital for treatment of injuries to his head and ribs.
A 51-year-old Lowood man has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
A 24-year-old Lowood man has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
They are both due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow, August 31.
