Man, 62, charged over violent robbery of health shop

A 62-YEAR-OLD man has been charged over an alleged violent robbery at a health shop on the Sunshine Coast.

Police say it will be alleged a man entered the Forest Glen business on Mons Road at about 11.30am on Tuesday and engaged in an verbal altercation with a female staff member before pushing and shoving her.

Police will further allege the man took an item from the store before fleeing the scene.

A man was later located at a unit block in Mooloolaba and taken into custody.

He has been charged with one count of robbery with violence and is next due to appear in court on April 7.
