Man arrested following probe into Wooli attack

POLICE have charged a Coramba man as the result of an investigation into a violent home invasion in Wooli last year.

On Wednesday this week officers from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command attended a home on Kings Ridge Forest Rd, Coramba, and executed a search warrant.

They will allege numerous items were seized, including prohibited drugs, cash, ammunition, prohibited weapons and stolen property.

A man aged 33 attended Coffs Harbour Police Station and was arrested.

He was charged with supply prohibited drug, three counts of possess prohibited drug, possess prohibited weapon, possess ammunition and two counts of goods in custody.

The man was given conditional bail to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Monday, July 6.

Tuesday's arrest was made by investigators attached to Strike Force Nanowie, which was established to investigate a violent home invasion and robbery by four men at Wooli on October 13, 2014.

The Strike Force Nanowie investigation is continuing.
