Man behind famous Aussie TV shows dies at age 92

THE MAN who was behind iconic Australian television shows such as Neighbours and Prisoners has died aged 92.

Reg Grundy, who started his media career as a sports commentator for radio, founded the Reg Grundy Organisation which produced many Australian television shows.

Radio announcer Alan Jones announced Mr Grundy's death on radio this morning.

"Reg Grundy has passed away in the arms of his beloved wife Joy on their Bermuda estate," he said on 2GB radio.
