Man charged over Anzac Day robbery of newsagency
POLICE have charged a man following the investigation of a Dunwich newsagency robbery on Anzac Day.
It will be alleged around 1.55pm a man entered the front of the Ballow Street business closing a roller door behind him.
The man approached a female shop assistant and produced a knife before demanding money from the employee.
He man removed a quantity of money from the cash register and fled the store on foot.
No one was physically injured and police investigations are continuing into the incident.
A 20-year-old Dunwich man was charged with one count each of robbery, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence and stealing.
He is due to appear at the Cleveland Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
